ALIA Wikipedia & Libraries Info Sessions
Evening - Tuesday 28 October 2014 - 5 for 5.30pm start to 7.45pm
Day - Tuesday 18 November – 9.30 for 10.00am start to 12 noon.
Come and listen to Gideon Digby, Vice President of Wikimedia Australia, who will discuss
• how Wikipedia really works
• what other projects are associated with Wikipedia
• why Wikipedia uses a Creative Commons licence
• how libraries and Wikimedia are helping each other
• how you and your library community can get involved
• answers to your wiki questions
This is a FREE PD event for ALIA members. Non-members are welcome at $20 per head.
